Conservatory

The Conservatories, located in the northeast end of the Garden, cover more than three acres and feature three major display houses: Indoor Gardens, Desert Greenhouse with cacti and succulents, and Rare and Exotic Plants Greenhouse. The Conservatories were creatively designed to nestle into the Green Belt topography as part of an organic whole. Uniquely fabricated, the magnificent structures are made with a single-layer latticed aluminum alloy frame that builds upon its architectural heritage - the geodesic dome of Buckminster Fuller. With operable ventilation panels along the spine of the roof, temperatures and humidity in each house can be selectively managed to create the special environments needed for growing a wide variety of plants.
